Get Over It!

The other night I was watching The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell and they had Dan Choi on. He’s the Army officer who was discharged after coming out on The Rachel Maddow Show who’s been an activist fighting “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ever since. Now that the controversial policy has been done away with, he’s chosen to take on a new cause, the one everybody seems to be flocking to as the next thing to bitch about, same-sex marriage.

Some people just aren’t happy unless they have something to be miserable about.

The Worst Man For The Job

The race to see who the Republicans will run against Barack Obama in next year’s presidential election is beginning to heat up, and several contenders are vying for the prize. Some are just silly, like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, and if they think they stand a chance of getting the nomination, let alone winning the general election, then they’re even more delusional than they appear to be (as if that were possible). Others just have too many negatives working against them, like Newt Gingrich, for whom wives are apparently a disposable commodity; or Mitt Romney, who’s going to have a hard time campaigning against Obama’s health care reforms considering that they were based on his ideas.
