Notes from the Far Side

It’s been a strange day. I spent it, as I spend my usual Thursday, on the sofa watching MSNBC between naps. As I drifted in and out of sweep, it took a little more effort to sort out my dreams from the images on television. It’s usually easy: if I’m having a pleasant dream, I’m asleep; if it’s a nightmare, I’m still awake and just watching MSNBC. If it’s a particularly horrific nightmare I’m watching FOX News. But once in a great while these realities seem to intersect.
