The resignation of New York Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY9) has put an end to a news story a lot of people – including me – have grown sick to death of hearing, but still, the media isn’t letting the issue rest. References to his now-infamous sexting scandal are still every other word out of the pundits’ mouths, at least until they dig up some other piece of salacious dirt to rant about. I guess I’m no better, since I’m blogging about it today, however – unless he does something else that is newsworthy – this is the last words you will read about him in this ’blog.

Sometimes, Mother Nature can be a real bitch. This year has been one of those times. From the snowpocalyptic winter we just emerged from to the summer-like spring we’re in now, the old gal has turned out to be full of surprises.
This has been an another atypical year weather-wise. After the snowpocalyptic winter we just endured and the tornado that ransacked St. Louis Park and North Minneapolis last month, we’re now dealing with a June which – for a few days at least – thought it was July or August.
