The Dumb-Day Code

This is the last week of life on earth. At least if you believe the caca de toro being spread by Harold Camping and his deluded disciples. If you’re reading this on my site, as opposed to the echo on Facebook, you’ll notice I’ve added a countdown timer at the top of the left sidebar counting down to the time and date Camping is asserting that the second coming will occur (next Saturday at about 6 p.m. Pacific Time). If Camping is right (which is highly doubtful) when it reaches zero there will be a worldwide earthquake.

Fond Farewell to a Friend

Sometimes words escape me. With the passing of Elizabeth Taylor, we have lost more than a screen legend. She was one of those rare woman who was even more beautiful on the inside than she was on the outside. At a time when the Reagan Administration wouldn’t even acknowledge that AIDS existed, she was at the forefront of the campaign to raise awareness and fight for a cure. It’s time to play “What’s Wrong With This Picture?”

I’m not sure whether to file this under “hypocrisy” or “irony.” This unidentified man in an undisclosed location had Leviticus 18:22 tattooed on to his arm. So either he’s a raging homophobe or a major closet case … or both.
