I guess it’s been kinda nice having the place to myself all week. I can smoke and drink anywhere I want, and even run around naked. Brody’s been a little freaked out by it. Since it’s been so cold this week, I’ve mostly been a homebody, running errands during the day and spending my evenings with a bottle of wine.
Today that all comes to an end. Jim’s flight gets in around 5:45 tonight, so if I really hustle my buns, I should be able to get the place in shape by the time I leave to pick him up. The had part is going to be dealing with all the packaging from the new printer, and …

Now that I have my computer up and running and everything works, it’s time to start rebuilding my financial records, what little there is of them. I used to use Microsoft Money for this, but when I went looking for it I discovered that it no longer exists. Microsoft has discontinued the product. They don’t sell it anymore, and they don’t support it anymore. So I’ve had to switch over to Quicken. I used to use it back in the early 90s – back in the MS-DOS days, if you can remember that far back. I switched to Microsoft because Quicken was such a memory hog.
