If you’re a Romney supporter, you’re probably wishing for your candidate to come down with a case of laryngitis that lasts through Election Day. He’ll recover just in time to deliver his concession speech. What do we have for a consolation prize, Johnny? Oh, that’s right… nothing!

While we really have more important things to worry about, the issue of reproductive rights – which we thought had been settled almost four decades ago – is a spectre hanging over this election, as a male-dominated movement seeks to subjugate women to the role of “baby factories” by making it illegal to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, even in the case of rape, incest and life/health risk to the mother. Todd Akin’s comments about “legitimate rape” aside, there’s one voice we haven’t heard in this discourse: the voice of the unwanted, unborn child.
